For those who want to experience a great twist in traditional Idly, Idly Machurian is the answer for you. Idly manchurian is basically chinese seasoning infused idly. This dish will appeal to many who are not a fan of the plain version of idly like me. This can be prepared with the leftover idlis as an evening snack. This is a perfect snack recipe for the hungry kids and adults alike.

Ingredients:

2 Idli
1 Green chilli finely chopped
1 Garlic clove finely chopped
1 Inch Ginger finely chopped
1/2 Onion finely chopped
2 Tsp Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Tomato Sauce
1/2 Cup Oil to Fry Idlies + 2 Tsp Oil
1 Tsp Salt

Method:

1. Cut the left over idlis into cubes.


2. Place a frying pan on a medium flame, add 1/2 cup oil and let it heat.
3. Add the idli cubes in the oil and fry for 8 - 10 minutes or until golder brown.


4. Place another frying pan on a medium flame, add 2 Tsp oil, chopped garlic, ginger, green chilli and onions. Saute for 3 minutes.


5. Then add the soy sauce, tomato sauce and salt. Fry for 2 minutes.


6. Now finally add the fried idlies, mix everything until combined.


7. Cook this for 5 minutes until all the sauces are blended.
8. Spicy and tangy idli manchurian is ready to be served.
