Eggless Honey Oats Wheat Bread Recipe

Ingredients

3 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Milk
1.5 Tbsp Active Dry Yeast
6 Tbsp + 3 Tbsp Olive Oil
6 Tbsp Honey
6 Tsp Oats + 2 tsp for sprinkling
1.5 Tsp Salt.

For Egg wash (Optional)

1 Egg
1 Tsp Milk






Method

1. In a medium mixing bowl, add 3 cups of flour, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup milk, 1.5 tbsp active dry             yeast, 1.5 tsp salt, 6 tbsp olive oil, 6 tbsp honey, 6 tsp oats.
2. Mix everything well to form a nice soft dough but not sticky.
3. Add 1 or 2 tsp flour if the flour is sticky.
4. Once the dough is formed, cover the dough with thin plastic wrap and leave it in a warm place for       1 hr and let it double in size.
5. Once the dough is doubled in size, add 3 tbsp olive oil and knead well to incorporate all the oil.
6. Knead the dough for 2 minutes until smooth and again leave it covered for another 30 minutes,
7. Now the final rise is over and the dough is more than double the size.
8. Line a baking tray with aluminium foil
9. No need to knead the dough again. It is now ready to be rolled as bread logs.
10. While rolling no need to add flour, as it the enough oil.
11. Roll the dough with both the hands to form a nice cylindrical shape.
12. Arrange the logs in the baking tray and cover it with plastic wrap for another 30 mins.
13. Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius.
13. Once the logs are doubled in size, apply egg wash and sprinkle oats, sunflower/flax seeds.
14. For vegetarians, apply oil instead of egg wash.
15.Bake in the preheated oven for 15 - 20 minutes.
