Cheese Danish made with Homemade Puff Pastry



Ingredients

1/2 Cup Cream cheese at room temperature
1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
A pinch of lemon juice
Homemade Puff Pastry

For Egg Wash (Optional)
1 Egg
1 Tsp Milk

Method

1. Whip the cream cheese at room temperature.
2. Add sugar, vanilla extract and lemon juice.
3. Mix everything well until combined.
4. Cut the puff pastry in to a rectangle shape. place the filling in the center of the pastry and wrap the pastry on       either side.
4. Using a knife, make small cuts across the pastry, make sure the cut is not extending till the bottom, as the  filling might ooze out.
5. For the egg wash, whisk the egg and milk until fluffy. Brush the top of the strudel with the egg wash to get a  glossy finish.
6. Cook the cheese danish in a preheated oven for 180 C for 20 - 25 minutes or until golden brown.
